Will There Be a Season 2 for Moon Knight?
Moon Knight promised a new thing for the MCU fans and the series delivered well in all aspects like dealing with the dissociative identity disorder of the titular character, how it works and stuff like that, and in terms of treating the Egyptian myths and deities as comprehensive and historically accurate as possible. There are, however, mixed views whether the show would be having a second season or not. See, Moon Knight has been submitted as a limited series for the Emmys, as reported by Variety, which means that it does not have an ongoing story and would not have any subsequent season. Still, there are hints that the show will be having another run given that after the first two episodes, the writer of Moon Knight series, Mohamed Diab, told Collider, “Moon Knight is staying, staying for a long time.”
Also, on the official Twitter page of Marvel Studios, there seemed to be a hint that Moon Knight will be making it to a Season 2 after they changed the wordings of the tweet for the finale of the show from “series finale” to “season finale,” which led many fans to believe that Episode 6 of Moon Knight is not the last one for the series. The finale of the show finally introduced the third persona of Marc and Steven which is Jake Lockley, as introduced by Khonshu, which gives an opening for another run and a continuation of the story. Note that Marc and Steven are both clueless who Jake Lockley is and they are always baffled when they would black out and see a massacre around them. The story could continue with the first two personalities exploring the third one. Do you think there would be another season for Moon Knight? All episodes of Moon Knight are now streaming on Disney Plus.
