The trailer was shared online via the anime’s official Twitter account and the KADOKAWAanime YouTube channel. It showed new footage from the series and highlighted its cast members.
Last week, new cast members were announced to join the show, including a popular VA from TenSura and Shield Hero. Now, two more voice actors were revealed. The first of the two is Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Hyoro Gari. Matsuoka is arguably one of the most popular voice actors in the anime industry as he has voiced lots of well-known characters. These include Kirito from Sword Art Online, Souma Yukihira in Shokugeki no Souma, Inosuke Hashibara in Demon Slayer, and more. Joining him as Jaga Imo is Shin Matsushige, a voice actor whose credits include Mantle in Dr. Stone and Jalil in Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation. These two voice actors add to the already stacked cast of the series that includes Rina Hidaka, Kana Hanazawa, Yoko Hikasa, Asami Seto, Inori Minase, and more.
The Eminence in Shadow is an upcoming isekai anime series by Nexus that is based on the light novel series of the same name by Daisuke Aizawa. The series follows a boy whose goal is to become a shadowbroker in the modern world, though his dream ends after he gets hit by a truck. Instead of dying, he finds himself reincarnated as Cid Kagenou in a fantasy world. As he tries to figure out this new world, he finds an elven girl whom he cures of a mysterious disease. When asked who he is, Cid says that he is part of Shadow Garden, an organization that fights the Cult of Diabolos that rules the world in secret. Cid only made this story up, but it turns out that the Cult of Diabolos is true, unbeknownst to him. Thus begins his journey of fighting the Cult under the alias, Shadow. The Eminence in Shadow Episode 1 will release on October 5, 2022. Right now, there’s no word yet on if the series will premiere on Crunchyroll or on another platform.
