The cast and crew started filming for Slumberland on February 18, 2021 and wrapped up on May 19, 2021. The scenes for the movie were filmed in Toronto.

Jason Momoa is Flip
Jason Momoa leads the Slumberland cast as Flip, a nine-foot tall half-beast, half-man horned creature with bushy fur. Flip is a self-proclaimed outlaw who has taken it upon himself to guide Nemo through this strange land of dreams and nightmares. Momoa is most known for his roles in Aquaman and Dune. Like in his other movies, most of the components of his character will be augmented via CGI.
Marlow Barkley is Nemo
Marlow Barkley plays the protagonist Nemo, a young girl who embarks on an adventure through the mysterious land of dreams to find her missing father. Barkley has starred in other movies and series like Single Parents, Amphibia, and Spirited.
Other Characters in Slumberland
More actors join the cast of Slumberland, three of whom still have mystery characters – Kyle Chandler, Chris O’Dowd, and India de Beaufort. The cast includes Humberly Gonzales plays Graciela, Tonya Cornelisse as Agent Red, Weruche Opia as Agent Green, Jamillah Ross as Agent Orange, and Leslie Adlam as Agent Brown. We will also see Sergio Osuna as Manager, Michael Blake as The Accountant, Cameron Nicholl as the Young Philip, and Ava Cheung as Ho-Sook. Slumberland Crew: Who are the Creatives Behind the Scenes?
Slumberland is based on Winsor McCay’s 1905 comic strip called Little Nemo in Slumberland. Francis Lawrence (who previously worked on Constantine, The Hunger Games, Red Sparrow, and I Am Legend) directs the movie following the script written by Michael Handelman and David Guion. Handelman and Guion are the executive producers with Ray Angelic. The producers are Peter Chernin, Cameron MacConomy, David Ready, and Jenno Topping.
Slumberland Plot: What Will be the Plot of Slumberland?
The film is based on Winsor McCay’s comic strip, Little Nemo in Slumberland. In this comic strip series, Flip guides a young boy, Nemo, as he goes through wild adventures in sleep, with each episode ending with him waking up from the dreams. Nemo and Flip go through many escapades together, so Netflix’s adaptation of the comic strip has a lot of stories to choose from, but they may have taken some creative liberties.
