Here’s What Happened Before More Than a Married Couple, But Not Lovers Episode 10
The students are getting ready for their summer vacation but they were advised to focus on scoring more points before the summer break. Jirou noted that his Couple Practical course with Akari was going smoothly. However, they would still be together until the end of the semester and needed to work hard to score more points. Jirou believed that it would be bad for Akari if they dragged their pretend marriage until the second semester. Meanwhile, he wondered what Shiori was planning for the summer break. Sadaharu told Jirou that his brother works at a café that’s holding a summer event. It will be a three-day event but the café is short-staffed and looking to hire more people. Sadaharu told Jirou that he applied for the job. Later, Jirou found out that Mei and Shiori also signed up for the part-time job. Jirou was surprised and told Shiori that he was also up for it. He started fantasizing about doing an overnight job with Shiori. Jirou later returned to his apartment where Akari appeared before him in a bikini. There was an awkward moment between the two as Akari tried to show off her new bikini. Because of the moment, they were able to score an extra point. Akari also told Jirou that she would only wear this bikini for him. Jirou then told her about him taking up the part-time job. He mentioned that Shiori had applied for it too. Akari looked jealous for a fraction of a moment but instantly showed that she didn’t really care about it. Meanwhile, Akari asked Jirou if he would be lonely without her. Jirou tried to ignore the question but Akari insisted that, as his wife, she wanted to know if he will be lonely. Akari confessed that she will be lonely, so Jirou embraced her. Sometime later, the students arrived at the seaside holiday spot. Shiori vowed that she would work harder. Minami was teaching the others about the living arrangements and Akari was swooning over how handsome he looked. Elsewhere, Mei and Shiori put on the café uniforms and Mei was upset that they looked too girly. Shiori complimented Mei for looking great in the uniform, and the latter blushed, hinting that she might be having feelings for her friend. Later, Shiori, Jirou, Akari, Sadaharu, and a few others were briefed about the café work. Shiori asked Jirou about his department and he told her that he will work in the kitchen. Shiori said that she will join him too because she wants to be around someone she was comfortable with. Meanwhile, Minami was impressed by Akari’s earnest attempt to learn how the system worked in the café. The episode also showcased Shiori and Jirou bonding in the kitchen as Shiori helped him learn the art of icing the beverages. Toward the end, the students were seen chilling on the beach. Jirou was surprised to see Akari in a different swimsuit and he recalled how she told him that the bikini was only meant for him. The episode ended with Shiori and the others inviting Jirou and the rest to a hotel.
