The Falcon and The Winter Soldier introduced Eli Bradley briefly, showing the young man with his grandfather Isaiah Bradley. However, there were no hints at Eli returning to the MCU after the series. But is it possible that Captain America 4 director Julius Onah teased Eli’s return? While speaking to Comicbook.com, the filmmaker mentioned that Sam Wilson will be taking on a leadership role that could mean being a mentor to more than just one Bradley.

“Leadership is about making tough decisions, and there’s going to be some really tough decisions that Sam has to make, both with the Bradleys, also with Joaquin Torres, who looks up to him in really, really, really important ways,” Onah said. “So when you think about the group of people around him, again, without spoiling our movie and the journey he has to take, there’s some really, really emotional and power stuff in store for audiences.” It is noted that Onah mentioned “the Bradleys” instead of just Isaiah Bradley, who has been confirmed to return in the movie. Although there is a possibility that Eli will simply be there to help his grandfather, we’re hoping that it means Elijah Richardson will have a larger role to play in Captain America 4. Captain America: New World Order will star Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson while Danny Ramirez and Carl Lumbly will reprise their respective roles of Joaquin Torres and Isaiah Bradley from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The Incredible Hulk’s Tim Blake Nelson will return as Samuel Sterns / The Leader while Shira Haas will be introduced as Sabra. The film is scheduled to be released on May 3, 2024.
