Much like Steve Rogers, Mackie is willing to do “whatever it takes” to rival his successor Chris Evan’s MCU legacy and as it stands, he plans to create moments in the franchise that would be on the same echelon as the former Captain America actor’s iconic moments.One thing he wants to pull in particular is a scene similar to Chris Evans’ intense elevator fight sequence in Captain America: The Winter Soldier which was later given a nod in Avengers: Endgame. Speaking with E! News, the Captain America: New World Order star said the following:“I want a fight scene that rivals Chris Evans’ fight scene in the elevator [in 2014’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier] when he fought like 10 dudes in the elevator. That was a bad a** scene. Will he be able to top Rogers’ contributions to the franchise? I believe he has what it takes but only time will tell.Captain America: New World Order will begin filming next year.
